A Canadian man, Jericho Wolf Labonte, was arrested in Seaside, Oregon after a series of unusual events along the Pacific Northwest coast.
Labonte was rescued from the ocean by the Coast Guard after his stolen yacht capsized. He was recognized as the person who covered the security cameras and left a dead fish on the porch of the famous "Goonies" house in Astoria, Oregon. He was arrested on charges of theft, criminal mischief, endangering another person, and unauthorized use of a vehicle. He is also wanted in Canada for other cases. The events culminated in a dramatic rescue, captured on video, by the Coast Guard.
The rough seas of the Columbia river mouth, known as the "graveyard of the Pacific," were a factor in the yacht capsizing.
