A Michigan man was left with a $1,000 bill after his 6-year-old son ordered food from several restaurants on Grubhub last weekend.

Keith Stonehouse allowed his son, Mason, to play a game on his phone before bed, but instead, the boy used his father's Grubhub account to order food. Grubhub has since offered the family a $1,000 gift card and is considering featuring them in an online promotional campaign.

Mason ordered jumbo shrimp, salads, shawarma, chicken pita sandwiches, chili cheese fries, and more food that was delivered to their home. The family only realized what was happening after a few orders arrived. Mason's mother, Kristin Stonehouse, said he is smart and reads at a high level.

The family has talked to Mason about what he did being like stealing and took $115 from his piggy bank to replenish their accounts. Keith Stonehouse suggests making sure important apps are not easily accessible to children and is changing his password. He didn't expect Mason to do this but says he's smart enough.
