Let's discuss a few ways to put these safety measures in action when we're faced with these dangerous storm threats.

In areas where they pose a high threat, investing in a NOAA weather radio is essential, as they provide real-time updates and alerts to complement local warning systems. Designating and reinforcing safe spaces within homes and away from any windows, such as basements, interior rooms on the lowest floor, or inside an enclosed closet beneath sturdy structures such as stairs, offers added protection against these unforgiving and powerful forces of nature. Depending on the classification or severity of a tornado, they are capable of ripping through cities and towns, costing peoples' lives, and causing catastrophic damage to homes, businesses, and vehicles.
